In teaching the American Revolution I go to the internet to find what I can find.
I am specifically looking for time lines, photos, places, and stories.
Here is what I found:
Time lines:
http://www.ushistory.org/declaration/revwartimeline.htm I like this site because you can click on the various events and it takes you to details.
http://www.history-timelines.org.uk/events-timelines/01-american-revolution-timeline.htm this one is neat because it is a British website and gives a bit of a different perspective.
http://timeline.americanrevolutioncenter.org/ This one is so nice because it has so many photos and artifacts. The time line is interactive too.
Places and Photos:
http://www.theamericanrevolution.org/battles.aspx Again, so well done. Click on the battle and it brings you to a new page with all the details, timeline, and important info.
http://www.historycentral.com/Revolt/battles.html This is nice and has a bit of information but I love the photos that it shows. You can pull the photos off and use them in your own powerpoint. (be sure to site where you got them though) I also like that in some battles there is a multimedia presentation and some also have first hand accounts too.
http://www.britishbattles.com/american-revolution.htm Again from a British perspective. Very interesting!
